Steph Karlstad was born and raised for the most part in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. In eighth grade, she moved with her mom to Eleva, Wisconsin where she finished her primary schooling graduating from high school.  She enjoyed the community and she enjoyed being around the people where she lived. She loves history and hearing stories about the past. She loves to play chess so she loves to plan ahead. She played every sport she could growing up. Her favorite sport was basketball. Her mother was the most influential person to her growing up. Her dad was her mentor in business. She studied Industrial Engineering in college. She grew up in a family of seven kids, she was the third child. She worked three jobs to work her way through college. She went to work for Menards and worked there for 34 years. She was a Senior General Manager, one of the highest ranked executives in the company, with them when she retired.
