Joe Rare was born in  Antioch, California. He grew up in Rio Vista, California and he finished high school in Roseville. He attended University of California, Santa Barbara. He really enjoyed the small town community fell growing up. He was able to play outside and do a lot of outdoor activities growing up. His basketball coach was the most influential person to him in high school. He played basketball for him and learned a ton about the sport and more importantly about life. Growing up there was a gentleman that was his friend’s dad and he would take him and his son to baseball games in the middle of the day in the middle of the week. Jim was a business owner and Joe grew up wanting to emulate his friend’s dad. He grew up wanting to have control of his time. He also enjoyed playing football and his senior year was his favorite year by far! His coach counseled him on changing positions and encouraged him. He was very fast as a football player, he ran a 4.41 40 yard dash. Joe dropped out of college to start his first business and he was on his way! He eventually moved his family to Bozeman, Montana and he has loved living there ever since. Joe loves to teach leadership and has his own podcast as well.
