I was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma. From the time I was very young I split time between my Grandparent’s farm outside of Ponca City and our family home in town. I started farming with my grandfather when I was nine years old and continued until I was 18.

We moved to Oceanside California when I was 13 where I attended Lincoln Middle School and El Camino High School. I spent everyday of summer vacation on the farm in Oklahoma working. I was a competitive public speaker and the captain of our debate team in High School. I attended Palomar College where I competed in debate. I went on to study business at San Diego State and Redlands University. I entered the mortgage business in 1992 where I quickly became one of the top producers in the nation for Accubanc Mortgage. I was married in 1994, our first child Michael, was born in 1998 and our second child, Madison was born in 2000.

In my professional life, I have succeeded in the mortgage business, owned and operated a real estate office for 18 years, sold new homes in Florida, and worked as Director of Acquisitions for two years. After a year and a half with the company, it was recognized on the INC 5000 fastest growing companies list as #192 nationwide and #2 in San Diego. My wife and I opened a Keller Williams Realty office in Escondido, California in 2001. We owned and operated the office for 18 years. We moved to Florida in 2018 where I sold new homes. I reentered the mortgage business in 2019. On June 1 of 2020 I accepted a position as the Director of Acquisitions for a local real estate investment firm. In 2022 we were recognized on the INC 5000 fastest growing companies list as #192 nationwide and #2 in San Diego. In July of 2022, I accepted a position as a Broker Associate with eXp Realty where I continue to work with investors, buyers and sellers. In August of 2023 I started a podcast, The Mike Litton Experience. I continue to coach, teach and mentor Realtors, mortgage lenders and business owners as I have for 30 years.
